In 2021 a joint initiative of Belgium and The Netherlands

Call for Papers

On behalf of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society and the IGARSS 2021 Organizing Committee, we invite you to submit your paper to the world’s premier symposium on geoscience, remote sensing and related topics. The 2021 symposium is a joint effort of the European Low Countries, Belgium and Netherlands. As such, the organizing committee promotes “Crossing Borders” as the main theme with other up-to-date developments and advanced research in the field of geoscience and remote sensing. Specifically, the symposium promotes submissions to the following special scientific themes:

  • UAV and miniaturised remote sensing capabilities and applications
  • GPS, GNSS and Galileo for earth observation
  • Geo information and integration for smart and green cities
  • Advanced monitoring and assessment of hazards (natural, anthropogenic and pandemic)

Student Paper Competition

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society student members are invited to submit a paper to the IGARSS Student Paper Competition. The selection of the finalist papers will be done by a committee of experts and the selected students will present their papers during a special session at the Symposium.

Invited sessions

Invited session proposals are solicited for IGARSS 2021, with preference for the special themes mentioned above, by 25 October 2020. The selection of the sessions will be done by the Technical Program Committee by 09 November 2020.
